Date: 9th November 2012
Time: 9:30am - 12:30pm
Location: CVSC Offices, Colwyn Bay, LL29 7DP

This workshop will examine how trustees fulfil their essential role in ensuring resources for their organisation through fundraising. It will look at their tasks and obligations and the ways they can develop and protect their organisation's standing and esteem. Using examples it will discuss the elements of successful fundraising and offer some suggestions and reflections for trustees who are also fundraising.

The workshop will be delivered by Simon Boex, Manager for Wales for the Fundraising Standards Board, the independent regulator of voluntary sector fundraising in the UK. He has extensive previous experience in the voluntary sector having worked for a County Voluntary Council and Age Concern Cymru, where he was part of a UK-wide team, which wrote a 'how to' manual for trustees and delivered the associated training.
