Workshop for New Trustees - Essex, 06/11/12

Venue: The Tyrells Centre, 39 Seamore Avenue, Thundersley, Essex, SS7 4EX

Trustees are essential for the good management of voluntary organisations. Whether this is for a large charity with over £1m annual income or a very small volunteer led community group. To help new (or potential) trustees get off to a good start CAVS are running a short workshop to provide an overview of the role of trustees as part of the Trustees' Week initiative.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Understanding the principles which underpin the role of a trustee
  • Understanding of the basic roles and responsibilites of being a trustee including the different structures a board may have
  • Increased awareness of The Compact and how to use it when working with statutory agencies
  • Knowing where to access to more information to support the work of your organisation

Organisations can reserve one place free of charge. Additional places will be charged at £20.00 per person.
