What makes a good
charity trustee? What role do they have to play in improving their charity’s
governance? And how can charities evaluate and improve the effectiveness of
their trustees?
In
this FREE evening session offered to celebrate
Trustee’s Week 2014, we reflect upon the role and responsibilities of charity
trustees, and ask, are charities doing all they can to identify and recruit the
best trustees? And how can boards assess and demonstrate the effectiveness of
their governance?
We consider what
separates a good charity board from a bad one, and examine the role played by
the Chair in ensuring good governance.
Speaker
for the event is Louise Thomson, FCIS, Head of Policy (NFP) at ICSA.
